About Us

Catnip TNR (Trap Neuter Return) works with local communities to support the effective management of feral cat populations. Alongside this, we develop exciting educational programmes that bring together schools, families, and wrap around agencies to ensure a sustainable and progressive approach to animal welfare worldwide.
We know from validated global academic research that TNR works as an effective model. But this is nothing if we do not educate our young people and work with government to foster long-term healthy feral communities. It is vital that we also lessen the pressure on overstretched shelters and limited resources.
The future of TNR combines short-term clinical intervention with education and partnerships. We hope you’ll join us to achieving this across the globe.

Recent News and Latest Projects

Catnip TNR has been established with a core aim; to bring worldwide knowledge together and pool resources for the benefit of cat colonies across the globe. We’re focused on creating healthier outcomes, and controlling growth to prevent already over-run shelters with having the additional burden of unnecessary kittens.
Our experience tells us it’s vital to have sustainable projects with joined-up local community and political commitments. With this in mind, we work with local teams, support and funding for long-term outcomes.
Our Spanish project, located in the Vera area of Almería is a fantastic example of what we’re able to do with committed volunteers and multi-agency clinical and political partners on the ground.
